Lone Star Saddle Ring with Amazonite

Long before I was a silversmith, I was a quilter.  The Lone Star pattern was one of my favorites to sew and turns out, it's a favorite created in sterling silver as well.  This Lone Star Saddle Ring has the tiniest little piece of amazonite, just to give it a pop of color.

This design was hand pierced and sawn, soldered and formed in my little workshop.  It reminds me of the last quilt I made in this pattern - a king size wedding quilt for a very special couple who still use it to this day, a decade + later.  It's amazing how what we produce with our hands continues on in other people's lives.  That's one of my favorite things about being an artist.
